MC'DONALD'S HOTEL GRANDE, COOLANGATTA

McDonald's Hotel Grande at Coolangatta was one of two Hotels in the Tweed Heads/Coolangatta area used by the US Navy exclusively for US Navy Submariners from the Brisbane Submarine Base at New Farm in Brisbane. The hotel was located on the corner of Griffith Street and Dixon Street Coolangatta. The other hotel was the Pacifique Hotel at Tweed Heads.
