Townsville RAAF Recreation Centre, 1944
The RAAF Recreation Centre was located on The Strand in Townsville in north Queensland. It was comprised of three buildings:-
- main entertainment hall
- canteen hut
- reading and writing hut
Can anyone please pinpoint the location of the building?
Was it on the Strand near St. Patrick's school?
Is it still there?
Can anyone help me with more info on this building during WW2?
