On an unknown date in June 1945, RAAF P-40M Kittyhawk, A29-307 (#43-5435) took off from Richmond airfield on a ferry flight to Mildura in Victoria. The aircraft failed to gain altitude after take off from Richmond airfield and managed to do part of a circuit, when it stalled in the turn, hit the ground and burst into flames.

What was the date of this crash?

Can anyone please confirm the name of the pilot and the extent of his injuries?
