Esther's death notice appeared on 1 Aug 1923 in the "Otago Witness", New Zealand ,

Mrs E Clark,
whose death occurred last week, was an old resident of Port Chalmers. She was the second daughter of the late Mr J Kemp, and was born at Mount Cargill 57 years ago. The late Mrs Clark is survived by two sons and three daughters. Both the sons are well known in sporting circles. The daughters are Mrs Church (Wellington) and Mrs Gooch (Ranfurly). The deceased, who was of a kindly disposition, was a member of the Port Chalmers Old Identities' Association.10
