     Research Note: Fawcett was a bit eccentric, he was also known as 'BUN' because of the hat that he wore.
He was somewhat gullible and once put a cardboard Kangaroo on the end of his television aerial to stop getting interference from Aussie stations.
He used Marine Dept Blue Paint to paint the family home at 17 Queen Street, Westport.
He also used it to paint the family graves in the Orowaiti Cemetery.
