An old identity of the Wellington district, Mr Samuel Haigh, died at Greytown today, at the age of 89 years. He was born at Wellington in 1844, and conducted a butchery business on Lambton Quay for some years. He went to Greytown sixty years ago, and has resided there ever since. He was connected with many local bodies in his district, and was a keen bowler. He is survived by a large family, and there are numerous grandchildren.2
