Have a good feeling re some results that David Laird went to New Jersery USA. Found a good possible as a grocer on a 1930 immigration, and then on the 1930 Fed Census, find a David Laird as a nephew with Mitchell Forrest.
1940 Fed Census, shows this David as married to an Annie R also born in Scotland, as well as son Thomas born Scotland, and Douglas born New Jersey.
This David F Laird died in 1965 and Annie R in 2009 - New Haven Memorial Park New Jersey.
Lots of research is required on this family to prove details.
