Unable to locate any marriage or death regarding Janet, either with the names of Gardner or Brown in them that are correct.
Suspect Janet either is using the name of Jane/ Jean/ Jessie/ Jeannie and also left off the Gardner & Brown.

she may also have gone overseas, perhaps to Canada or the USA which was very common.
