Birth13 Feb 1805John Wintrup was born on 13 Feb 1805 at Lilliesleaf, Roxburghshire, Scotland ,

13 Feb 1805
Born to Robert Wintrup and Douglas Hall his spouse on the 13th Feb 1805 and Baptised soon after a child named John

(also on this page are Isobel, Eupham, Agnes and Margaret - recording all seems to be done at the one time - uncertain of actual date recorded).1,2

He was the son of Robert Wintrup and Douglas Hall
Research NoteResearch Note:
I cannot be certain if this John is the John that married Ann Evans in Liverpool in 1831.
( I have copies of that marriage on file)
They had a number of children all born in Liverpool.
John then died in 1848 and Ann and the two sons Robert and John immigrated to the USA and lived in Wilmington New Castle County Delaware.
On the 1841 Census in Liverpool, John is recorded as being born in Scotland.
As English death certificates do not record the parents names or place of birth, without further information or research this John may be incorrect.
Also from reading about the Wilmington Delaware Wintrup's, it appears from a book that was written in 1933 that John's father may be a Thomas Wintrup.
But the book also lists John's date of birth as 13 Feb 1805, but I need to find out where they got this date of birth from.
