Bristol Beaufort
RAAF Bristol Beaufort, A9-50 (T9602) of 100 Squadron crashed on landing at Mareeba on 5 June 1942. It was subsequently Struck Off Charge (SOC). This actually happened before the A9 number was allocated to this aircraft.
SOC = Struck Off Charge = the date that the airframe was disposed of (scrapped/burnt/buried etc.) or deleted from inventory (usually a month after missing or immediately if loss was seen).
NOTE:- The above information was from a list of aircraft crashes compiled by Bruce Stewart from a series of books called "Aircraft in Australian Service" by Stewart Wilson.
