Low Level Anti-shipping
Radar Night This is the story of the WW2 B-24 aircraft "Snooper" squadrons, low-level anti-shipping black-painted night bombers in the Pacific Theater. After the Midway and Coral Sea air-sea battle losses, the Japanese, in order to supply and strengthen the hundreds of islands they occupied after 7 December 1941, decided to use small groups or single ships and barges under the cover of darkness, moving among clusters of islands or in the open ocean in inclement weather to avoid being intercepted by American aircraft. |
