The following information was copied from documentation made available to me by Barbara Payne from Huxtable Farm, Devon:-
Eleanor Huxtable died on 19 April 1822. She is buried at St. Michael's Church, East Buckland.
Eleanor was a deceased Widow.
Her effects were under 100 Pounds.
WILL OF ELEANOR HUXTABLE
I, Eleanor Huxtable of the Parish of East
Buckland in the County of Devon ??, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in
manner and form following - (that is to say) First, I give and Bequeth unto my three Grand
Children John, William, and Elizabeth Stevens, Sons and Daughters of my Daughter
Elizabeth, the Wife of John Stevens, the sum of Five Pounds to each of them as soon as
they shall attain to the age of twenty one years,
Also I give to my grand son William Hollway, son of John Hollway of the Parish of Charles, the sum of Five Pounds as soon as he shall arrive at the age of twenty one years.
Also, I give unto my two Grand Children, George and Elizabeth, son and daughter of Thomas and Ann Coneybeer of the Parish of Stoke Rivers, the sum of Five Pounds to each of them as soon as they shall attain to the age of twenty one years.
All which said sums shall be paid by my Executrix out of my Effects in manner as aforesaid.
Also, I give unto my Daughter, Ann Coneybeer, the sum of Five Pounds to be paid within twelve months next after my Decease.
Also, I give unto my Son, George Huxtable, one annuity or sum of One Pound out of weeks Down? yearly to be paid by my Executrix therein after names all, the rest residue and remainder of my goods, chattels, credits, Testamentary, Estate, Ready money, security for money whatsoever I give and bequeth unto my daughter Elizabeth Stevens, whence I make and ordain, whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament after paying the above legacies my last debts and Funeral Expenses and lastly I hereby revoke all Wills by me heretofore made and confirm this my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have ?? set my hand and seal, this fourth day of January one thousand eight hundred and twenty one.
