| HORN ISLAND | 11 | ENEMY ACTIVITY Japanese aircraft raided HORN ISLAND on 11.5.42. Four Zero Fighters strafed runway. Nine heavy bombers (Type 96) dropped approximately 45 bombs in the vicinity of the dispersal bays. Only damage one refuelling unit, and further damaged two already damaged Wirraways. |
