ABATTOIRS BOFORS ANTI-AIRCRAFT GUN SITE
COLMSLIE, BRISBANE, QLD, DURING WW2

It is believed that the Abattoirs Bofors Anti-aircraft gun site was located in the vicinity of the roundabout that is at the very end of today's Colmslie Road at Queensport, in Brisbane, Queensland (UBD Map Reference Map 161, J3). There was only one 40mm Bofors gun located at this site.

It was located on the high land just behind the Abattoirs site which is now occupied by the Bulk Sugar Terminal.
