Night Camp No. 1 was set up at Bore 19 about 170 miles from Mount Isa.

New addition to the Mess Hall at Camp No. 1 on 13 October 1942.

There were segregated mess halls at all of the night camps to separate the white soldiers from the negro soldiers. This camp became a petrol station after the war and was then known as Barry Caves named after some underground caves in the nearby area. The Barry Caves Roadhouse apparently burn down in 1972. The Northern Territory Government bought both the Frewena and Barry Caves Roadhouses and demolished them in 1983/1984. There used to be a small Aboriginal owned store at Barry Caves called Wonorah Store.
