"Kirkston", Rupert Street, Windsor
Naval Commander John Proud relocated Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) to Brisbane where he commandeered a house called "Kirkston" in Rupert Street, Windsor. It is located at the end of a dead street on the top of a small hill overlooking Lutwyche Road near the Albion overpass intersection. There were a number of fibro huts erected in the grounds of "Kirkston" during WW2.
