CRASH OF A WIRRAWAY
AT DARWIN CIVIL AIRFIELD

Wirraway
At 0610 hours, on 6 June 1940, Wirraway A20-6 of 12 Squadron RAAF, force landed at the Civil airfield at Darwin.
The aircraft force landed due to a broken connection at the rear of the oil pressure gauge. No other serious damage. The pilot, Pilot Officer T.R. Philp, was uninjured.
