CRASH OF A VENTURA
AT GOVE, NT
ON 2 OCTOBER 44

RAAF Ventura, A59-75, ex Bu. 49383, c/n 6199, suffered minor damage at Gove airfield in the Northern Territory on 2 October 1944, when it belly landed after its undercarriage had locked up.

This aircraft was originally received into the RAAF at 2AD on 26 March 1944. It was received into 13 Squadron RAAF on 24 February 1945 and coded as SF-Q. It was sent to D.A.P. on 24 June 1948 for disposal out of 2AD. Disposal action was completed on 6 September 1949.
