BEAUFIGHTER FORCE LANDED
NEAR MILLINGIMBI, NT
ON 17 SEPTEMBER 1943

Mark IC Beaufighter, A19-43 (RAF Serial No. T5049) of 31 Squadron RAAF, piloted by Mr. Odgen, made a forced landing near Millingimbi in the Northern Territory on 17 September 1943. It was subsequently flown out from the area where it had made its forced landing.

This aircraft had been delivered to the RAAF in June 1942. Much later, it was sent to the Australian Aircraft Restoration Group in January 1971 and was later sent to a USAF Museum in 1988 for restoration.
