 A detachment of Company "B" of the 55th Battalion Seabees from Camp Seabee located at Eagle Farm were sent to Cairns to build a Mine Depot.

The following were some of the personnel involved in the construction of this mine depot at Cairns:-

H. Honnold, P. Herrel, G. Horning, H. Hughes, P. Hunt, T. House, K. Johnson, R. P. Johnson
