CRASH OF A P-40E KITTYHAWK
AT CANBERRA, ACT
ON 28 FEBRUARY 1942

P-40 Kittyhawk

P-40E Kittyhawk #41-5365 #85 piloted by Lt Marks, crashed at Canberra on the 28 February 1942. It was then renumbered as #61 White with the 8th Pursuit Squadron.

This aircraft had crashed earlier on 24 January 1942, when 2nd Lt. Jack R. Peres belly landed his P-40E Kittyhawk #41-5365 #85, at Fort Lytton in Brisbane,
