Information from an unknown source suggests that P-40E Kittyhawk, A29-142 (#41-36236), crashed at Liverpool in August 1942. This aircraft entered service on 13 August 1942.

Can anyone confirm whether there was an incident with this aircraft in August 1942?

On the 4 March 1944, P-40E Kittyhawk, A29-142 (#41-36236), crashed 1 mile SW of Liverpool in New South Wales. The RAAF cleaned up the crash site very well with nearly all of the debris being removed. The pilot P/O Casey(?) was burned in the crash but survived.
