CRASH OF A KITTYHAWK
0.5 MILES EAST OF BANKSTOWN, NSW
ON 14 JULY 1943

On 14 July 1943, P-40E Kittyhawk, A29-56 (#41-5736) of 82 Squadron RAAF crashed 0.5 mile east of Bankstown airfield. It had only been received 8 days previously by 82 Squadron. It is believed that there was no fatality associated with this crash.
