A17-182 (DHA 183) 8 EFTS Narrendera

04.01.41  Crashed at Grong Grong satellite field near Narrendera. Stalled at 150 ft while turning after take off and collided with desk from which flying was being controlled injuring Duty Officer P/O DT Everett and his assistant Sgt DJ Bourke. Instructor Sgt ALB Smith killed and pupil LAC LM Ross seriously injured.
