CRASH OF A VOUGHT KINGFISHER
IN FREMANTLE AREA, WA

USN Vought OS2U-2, BU No. 2281, of VS-61 Squadron US Navy crashed in the Fremantle area, in Western Australia on 25 January 1943 during gunnery training. It was piloted by Mottrom J. Ball with the other crew member being Cleo E. Bentley.
