Air-Sea Rescue Boats (63 Foot)
HMAS Air Mist (917) was built by Fellows & Stewart Inc, USA. It was launched in 1944 and commissioned on 20 September 1944.
Air Mist was stationed at Balikpapan, Borneo and was wrecked near Port Stephens in New South Wales on 19 December 1945 while being towed from Newcastle to Sydney.
It was paid off on 19 December 1945.
