Edward Douglas "Slim" Otton was a Coast Watcher on Bougainville during WW2. He had assisted another Coast Watcher, Paul Edward Mason on Bougainville. "Slim" Otton was still alive in January 2002. He was amongst the group of Coast Watchers who were rescued from Bougainville by US Navy submarine USS Gato (SS-212).
