The October 1943 edition of the Brisbane Military Telephone Directory shows that the 28th Chemical Company (28th Chemical Co.) was based at Blunder Road in Brisbane. The Commanding Officer of the 28th Chemical Company at that time as Captain W. F. Blair.
The 28th Chemical Company may have been involved in working at the Darra Ordnance Depot.
