RAAF No. 3 Convalescent Depot Southport was located at Southport, it was bounded by Short Street, Seabank Lane, Marine Parade and a park to the south of the site. Three properties were commandeered to establish No. 3 Convalescent Hospital Southport, namely "Seabank", "Huntingdon" and "The Bungalow".

"Seabank", Seabank Lane, Southport
"Seabank" located in Seabank Lane off Short Street, was the residence of Maddock Hughes until 1941 after which it was taken over by the RAAF for No. 3 Convalescent Hospital. "Seabank" had eight bedrooms, dining and drawing rooms, a library, day and night nurseries, an art gallery, servants' quarters and five fireplaces.
